The CircleTie Story

We're a group of computer science graduates trying to make your life more fun! We know computer science and fun seem like a hard to achieve combination but trust us when you see how we think of things you'll understand what we mean :) We love making cool mobile applications that really help our users.

A while ago we had a little problem that we're pretty sure you all face.. Where should we go tonight? was the problem. Here's the situation, we're at a friend's house.. nothing fun to do and no ideas on where we can go! Then one of us mentioned how he used this mobile application when he went to the states and how this mobile application told him of what outings are available around him! We automatically all remembered how each one of us had actually used such an application at one point in time.

Such a common problem that we probably all face at one time or another right? Well we took it on our own to try to solve this problem for people in a fun and interactive way. Thats when CircleTie became a reality! We raced to our laptops to find similar applications or see if anyone had done anything like it in our region. To our surprise there was nothing so we decided "Ok! Let's do this and see what people think of it".. We decided if we're ever really gonna make a difference in our region this is our opportunity! We quit our jobs and dedicated ourselves 100% to this opportunity.

Many months and many sleepless nights later, the first version of CircleTie on BlackBerry saw the light. We gave it to some of our friends to use it and they started giving it to their friends and their friends to their friends and the viral effect just started! We started using CircleTie about 2 weeks before anyone else started using it to see whether people would actually like it or not and see how the user experience felt. Releasing it into the world was indeed the most exciting experience we've ever been through. Then less than a couple of weeks after the BlackBerry version was released the iPhone version was also released on Apple's App Store.

Our target over the coming period is listening to what CircleTie users want to see and start creating a plan for adding all these wonderful features that they come up with as well as other features that we were planning on incorporating into CircleTie that we know you'll surely love.
